Physical Description: Lorianna has a round face and her looks are decidedly Asian. Her hair is a dark brown and it hands in long waves well past her shoulders, often streaked with bits of red and lighter browns. Her large brown eyes are expressive and she has a gorgeous smile. Her style of dress is definitely fashionable - the latest styles, designer jeans and tops. Even when she's lounging in sweats, she tends to looks well put-together. Personal History: Lorianna grew up in Chicago with her parents and two brothers. One older brother and one younger. That, of course, makes her the middle child. Unlike some, she has never suffered from the middle, ignored, child syndrome but that is likely because she was the only girl and was spoiled a great deal more than the boys. She had a strangely normal childhood... parents who rarely fought, siblings who pulled her hair, slumber parties, birthdays... Mrs. Carter was a pediatrician and Mr. Carter a lawyer. As such, the Carter family didn't want for anything but the children weren't excessively lavished upon either. They had what they needed and most of what they wanted (as long as their wants were reasonable). Lorianna was not insanely popular at school. Or, at least, she wont say that she was. Lorianna was well known in her own circle of friends but she seriously doubts that anyone else knew her name. (Even though most of the school did... even if it was only because of who she hung out with.) She was fairly active at school and participated in many extracurricular activities.. including cheer. She wasn't really in charge of anything, though. She always lacked the bossy personality for it and chose to follow rather follow than lead. Lori's lifelong best friend was always the outspoken one. In many ways, Lori followed behind the girl, doing exactly what she wished when she wished it, like a little puppy dog. That all changed their senior year, though. Lori's best friend went through some... issues and, in essence, "dumped" her. Through the years, she's dated some but not too terribly much. She's had exactly two serious relationships. A summer fling that ended when the boy went out of state to college. Then, a more serious one with her high school sweet heart. During all the drama with her best friend, Lori turned to Tyler. Tyler was her best friend's boyfriend and she was certain that he understood how she was feeling when no one else could. After all, he'd been dumped the same way that she had... worse, actually, and they found comfort in their renewed friendship. A couple of weeks later, Lori was hit with a completely unexpected breakup. Her high school boyfriend ended their relationship without giving anything resembling an explanation and left her to pick up the pieces. Right before prom and graduation, she was left devastated and, again, turned to Tyler for the comfort and understanding that only he could offer. Now dateless for the senior prom, they agreed to go together "as friends". Somewhere in all of the mess, though, their friendship took a... physical turn. It was completely unplanned but neither of them fought it. Instead, they clung to one another a little tighter, doing their best to ease their broken hearts. The summer following their senior year, they jumped into Tyler's car, intending to drive... to just get away from it all... and they ended up traveling across the country. It was during that trip that Lori realized that her feelings him were... growing but she's swallowed that back, determined to keep up their best friends with benefits status. After all, it's been working so well for them this far. Lori is now starting her second year of college and she is loving it. She's taking photography classes (another passion she learned about while on her summer road trip) and she's finally found her niche... finally gotten out of her best friend's shadow. Personality: Lorianna is sweet, caring, usually giving and very forgiving. Her friends and family really mean a lot to her. Even when it's not particularly practical, she will put their wants and needs above her own. She is painfully loyal. If you are her friend, if she loves you, she will defend you to the death. She's not one to sit idly by and listen to people speak poorly of those that she cares about... not even if what they are saying is true. She often refuses to see flaws in those that are most important to her. She, usually, wont even see them when it's shoved into her face. She loves who she loves and she loves them forever... end of story. Those that know her best can and will get a glimpse of her spoiled side. She doesn't expect everything to go her way but big/important things (prom, graduation... etc.) will have to be perfect or she will throw a fit. Lorianna fits in with the "popular" students but, really, she gets along with almost anyone. (Assuming that they aren't hated by someone she loves.) She's not exactly shy but she doesn't go out of her way to push conversation on people, either. She doesn't like being alone or sitting at home, so, most of the time, you will find her out and about with someone at her side. |
